چکیده

Mollusca is the second largest animal phylum and represents one of most evolutionarily successful groups. Mulinia lateralis , a small bivalve, promising model organism to facilitate studies mollusc development. However, because lack published genomic transcriptomic resources, integrated research on formation larval shells in this species, which representative developmental process molluscs great importance for larva survival, hindered. In study, blastula, gastrula, trochophore larva, D-shaped M. were utilized generating comprehensive full-length transcriptome through Pacific BioSciences (PacBio) isoform sequencing (Iso-seq) Illumina RNA-Seq. A total 238,919 transcripts with an average length 3,267 bp 121,424 annotated genes obtained. RNA-Seq data analysis showed that 4,512, 10,637, 17,829 differentially expressed (DEGs) obtained between two adjacent stages. Functional annotation enrichment revealed specific function shell biomineralization during different Twelve may be involved identified, including insoluble matrix protein-encoding gene 1 ( ISMP1 ), ISMP2 ISMP5 chitin synthase tyrosinase chitin-binding protein collagen pu14 deposition, carbonic anhydrase solute carrier family 4 member 8 slc4a8 EF-hand calmodulin coding C-2442 participated ion transportation. addition, calcium binding function, signaling pathway, endocrine other factor-regulated reabsorption pathways significantly enriched. Weighted correlation network (WGCNA) identified modules related formation, ring finger 41 rnf41 ) key hub process. Moreover, it could implied transport occurs earlier than deposition matrix. This work provided clear view will valuable elucidating mechanisms as well processes molluscs.

Fusion transcriptome profiling provides insights into alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.

Gene fusions and fusion products were thought to be unique features of neoplasia. However, more and more studies have identified fusion RNAs in normal physiology. Through RNA sequencing of 27 human noncancer tissues, a large number of fusion RNAs were found. By analyzing fusion transcriptome, we observed close clusterings between samples of same or similar tissues, supporting the feasibility of...

Elephant Transcriptome Provides Insights into the Evolution of Eutherian Placentation

The chorioallantoic placenta connects mother and fetus in eutherian pregnancies. In order to understand the evolution of the placenta and provide further understanding of placenta biology, we sequenced the transcriptome of a term placenta of an African elephant (Loxodonta africana) and compared these data with RNA sequence and microarray data from other eutherian placentas including human, mous...

Transcriptome analysis in different rice cultivars provides novel insights into desiccation and salinity stress responses.

Drought and salinity are the major environmental factors that affect rice productivity. Comparative transcriptome analysis between tolerant and sensitive rice cultivars can provide insights into the regulatory mechanisms involved in these stress responses. In this study, the comparison of transcriptomes of a drought-tolerant [Nagina 22 (N22)] and a salinity-tolerant (Pokkali) rice cultivar with...

Transcriptome Analysis of Thapsia laciniata Rouy Provides Insights into Terpenoid Biosynthesis and Diversity in Apiaceae

Thapsia laciniata Rouy (Apiaceae) produces irregular and regular sesquiterpenoids with thapsane and guaiene carbon skeletons, as found in other Apiaceae species. A transcriptomic analysis utilizing Illumina next-generation sequencing enabled the identification of novel genes involved in the biosynthesis of terpenoids in Thapsia. From 66.78 million HQ paired-end reads obtained from T. laciniata ...

Spatiotemporal Transcriptome Analysis Provides Insights into Bicolor Tepal Development in Lilium “Tiny Padhye”

The bicolor Asiatic hybrid lily cultivar "Tiny Padhye" is an attractive variety because of its unique color pattern. During its bicolor tepal development, the upper tepals undergo a rapid color change from green to white, while the tepal bases change from green to purple. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying these changes remain largely uncharacterized. To systematically investigate the...
